I'm Tom, and I'm a freelance Museum Learning Consultant, working on things that fall under one or more of museum learning, mathematics education, and maths communication. Also a part-time maths teacher, for the time being. Also, I'm writing a book rooted in the history of maths.
Recreationally, I'm in to #Maths, #Movies, #Music & #Books. I also run my local #MathsJam.

You don't have to be a mathematician, or even "good" at #maths, to help your #children learn maths. You just have to model resilience and positivity towards what they're doing, and to avoid reinforcing negative tropes.

I'm a #maths #teacher and a #museum #educator who works as a #freelancer attempting to bring the two together by encouraging and empowering #cultural organisations to explore the #mathematics in their stories, objects & exhibitions.
I play #guitar, run #BletchleyMathsJam (my local #MathsJam), try to keep up with #movies, and have a habit of smooshing bits of different interests and hobbies together to see what happens. I'm a fan of the Oxford comma, but not necessarily consistent in its use.
