I suppose an #introduction is in order. I write a lot about #comics and comics fandom. My book on #Webcomics was nominated for Eisner Award in 2021. I also do the "Incidental Iconography" column for Jack Kirby Collector and I blog at KleefeldonComics.com.
I've got a day job, too, but you don't want to hear about that.

In response to this post@ai6yr @andybrwn Yeah, and even those are pretty similar. I've got mine tied to my Hubitat hub, and the same driver works for both Ambient and Ecowitt.

In response to this post@andybrwn @ai6yr I've got an Ambient station, which is virtually identical to the Ecowitt ones. (I think they use literally all the same components.) The instructions say to clean it once a quarter, but every time I've checked it over the past 2.5 years, it's never needed much. I think I found a dead leaf partially blocking the rain gauge once.
@SKleefeld @andybrwn It looks like the only difference is the software.
