Sadly, with the pressure for housing of any kind even before the fires, it will probably be built back worse, as that is cheap & quick.
The only homes I have seen designed to withstand fires/hurricanes were custom built for that purpose. Developers just want the house to stand long enough to be sold. (Yes, I saw a lot of homes that looked like cheap flat pack furniture in house form in TX).
@Laplantgenetics After fixing up my house after my plumbing disaster last year, I discovered that yes, my house is basically sawdust and glue, with a layer of paint. 😬

Sadly, I know a lot of people obsessed with these broadcasts. It is like lifestyle news to them, obsessively checking for the lastest car chase, hoping to see a car they could never afford destroyed. Days of fires destroying other people's expensive property is what they want to see, commentary is irrelevant.
Thankfully, my neighbors have at least stopped shooting off fireworks for the moment (I am hoping permanently, but we will see).

If there are super high winds, you should go to an interior hallway (no windows, ideally surrounded by other rooms with doors into the hallway shut). Unfortunately, I doubt anyone in SoCal has a storm cellar/basement yet. Also, you can put plywood over your windows to keep debris from breaking them, but it is probably too late if you haven't done that yet.
Beware of trees with shallow, surface roots as wind may uproot them (but trees with deep roots like oaks will deflect the wind).

It's a pellet grill. Not compatible with logs and other proper items for smoking food.
It is cheap for a pellet grill, should be fun when the pellet auger jams and the AI has to fix it (or the hopper runs out of pellets before the contents are cooked).🤣
(I have an offset BBQ/smoker. It was less expensive and more reliable than a pellet grill. The flavor is significantly better as well, but does require human attention during use.)
