The Chinese are good at their propaganda, but also Americans are woefully bad at seeing through it too.

According to MeidasTouch, TikTok appears to be coming back online. The website is now working and the app appears to be slowly reconnecting for users in the U.S. sadly.

Apparently, his promise to not uphold the law seems to have been enough.

Just a reminder that using Starlink is just as bad as is driving a Tesla.

@GreenFire Yeah, as great as the technology works, I loathe this. (well, in addition, the pollution of the sky and commercialization of space for making that dude even richer... plus the massive launch schedule that impacts people here in the area with constant sonic booms)

Someone should calculate the carbon footprint of the media's coverage of these global warming fueled devasting fires in LA.

Is that one of the neighborhoods that State Farm has pulled out of earlier this year, thanks in no small part to how climate change is exacerbating wildfire risk?

That Norway home was built with architectural steel with glass that was automated to open at 20C or something.

It also made constructing the home by building it inside of the huge greenhouse a lot nicer in the harsh climate. It looked great and expensive though.

I ran into a YouTube channel that pretty much focuses on building homes in greenhouses. One in Norway was so nice, but it was way out of range of my budget.

There are other less expensive routes. The benefit of the greenhouse is to moderate the weather the home is subjected to.

Building your home inside of a greenhouse is a nice climate adaptation that is also a mitigation action too.

@GreenFire Home INSIDE a greenhouse? LOL... That's one idea. Kind of like living in a dome city. Probably a wee bit humid though, ha ha.

I'm not certain what country you're from, but there is quite a debate in the USA about the interpretation of our including on our SCOTUS ergo that's why a clarifying amendment would help save our children imo.

@GreenFire @julz @mentallyalex@beige.party @CatDragon @Porpentina2017 @TonyStark In this context it's interesting to note, that *not even the UK*, the Bill of Rights of which from *1688* codified the right to keep & bear arms (for Protestants) & on which the 2nd Amendment is based, nowadays guarantees the right to keep & bear arms.

In addition to that: Do the U.S. really need to be in company of (the only) states guaranteeing the right to keep & bear arms like: The Czech Republic, Guatemala, Ukraine, Mexico, the Philippines and Yemen???
