The TV Tropes page lists it as "artistic licence: biology" that Emilia still has a beard at the start of the movie when she's two years on HRT... So I guess the filmmakers can take solace in the fact that TV Tropes has ALSO done no fucking research

Weird how the most realistic depiction of gender transition in movies this past year is the one that involves diving into a vat of estrogen and being chased by Batman

That movie was a trip and a half, and I will absolutely never regret seeing it on the big screen.
And that depiction of Batman... whoof. Yep, that's every abuser intent on shoving us right back in that little box so they can toy with us.

@sphinx the Penis To Vagina song is the only time the movie even rises to the dazzling heights of Fun Bad. The rest of the film is just depressing in that the writer and director thought it was a good idea to make this.
