In Norway and Denmark I've surprisingly often* heard people say the following about Volkswagen: "I'm not going to buy a nazi car". @Pepijn I work at a car auction and we *hate* Teslas because of the problems they have. I've had no problem not wanting to buy one of their cars, so hating Elon Musk just makes the decision easier.
