In response to this post Box № 6 of #50boxes, a gift for a dear friend of mine :blob_rainbowheart: using one of their own designs. Same construction as with № 5, with mountain ash for the body, and veneers of maple (background, inside panel), eucalyptus burl (probably?, body), clear and stained linden (Mastodon logo and tusks), red pine (probably, mouth) and redwood burl (hair and inside panel). Redwood is called "Mammoth tree" in German, of course I had to use it for this design!

Don't you just hate it when you remove the adhesive tape that was holding it all together, and the wood just decides to break up with you and go its own way 🙄 Ah well, here comes the superglue…

Reaching under the tape with a fine spatula and lifting it upwards seems to work much better than just pulling the tape off by hand.
