In response to this post The acting head of the #US #immigration court system, along with 3 other key leaders of the court system, were fired soon after the #Trump administration took office on Monday, according to three sources familiar with the matter.
#Trump’s #ExecutiveOrders are so far entirely BS. Almost every single one will have no effect. They are either “messaging” like withdrawal from the #ParisAccord (technically Trump needs to submit a letter to the UN & then that doesn’t go into effect for a full year) or will 100% be legally challenged. #law #USpol #PerformativePolitics

Trump signed an #ExecutiveOrder that will attempt to amend the #14thAmendment to revoke #BirthrightCitizenship. The president cannot change the #Constitution on his own, so it’s not yet clear how Trump plans to withhold the benefits of #citizenship to a group of people born in the #UnitedStates. The move is all but certain to be challenged in court.
