Somebody in the military could provide a lot of reassurance to the American people by filling in the blank here.

Moment-in-time question: Is the order illegal?
Response if yes: Refuse the order.

Enduring question: Is my superior officer (i.e. the Commander in Chief) working for a foreign adversary?
Response if yes: _____________???

We passed the point where the response would be a yes, were trump in power. It will be yes again on Jan 20th.
