Explainer: The Hind Rajab Foundation is using Israeli soldiers’ own social media footage as evidence for war crimes investigations.

"Formed just five months ago, HRF has pulled together lawyers & activists from around the world to prepare cases, primarily based on social media content shared by Israeli soldiers themselves."

Let accountability and restorations prevail.

Praise to the Belgium Hind Rajab Foundation.

Let us never forget Hind Rajab; she stands for the inhuman horrors forced upon the Palestinian people.

Starting in early June 2020, I worked to create a public archive of T. Greg Doucette's (TW @greg_doucette) Police Brutality Mega-thread (PBMT). The PBMT collected over 1300 pieces of photographic and video evidence of over 1000 illegal acts of police bruality in America in the wake of George Floyd's murder. This thread changed forever the way many American's view and understand the culture of law enforcement, and I hope the archive can serve as an asset to others with an interest in changing that culture.

My pinned tweet on Twitter pointed to this archive, but Twitter no longer merits this information. While Greg's mega-thread will remain on twitter, and while my archive will continue to have links to each of its entries, my pointers to this archive are moving elsewhere. For now, this will be Mastodon.

Police brutality is part of law enforcement culture. It has not stopped, and law enforcement has been slow to hold itself accountable. Keep sharing this archive. Keep sharing video evidence of police brutality.
