In response to this post@Bardswan Jackery 1000 Solar Generator -- there's a big rebate from SCE if you are in WUI (which is all of Thousand Oaks, LOL)
@Bardswan It's capable of bringing your fridge back to the right temperature... Charge it up before a blackout, and then every 12 hours plug it in so your fridge/freezer returns back to the normal temp and you don't lose food. Don't keep opening up the fridge/freezer, of course! I used one today twice and it did fabulously. Charged it on solar to bring it back up to 100% mid-day.
