I often think about this valley is eastern Africa where there are stone tools and its clear that this valley was the manufacturing center of stone tools for, like, a million years or more.

And I think about a homonid at like year 800,000 of that tradition.

Imagine knapping stone, as taught by your mentor taught by their mentor etc so i credibly far beyond memory, beyond oral history, beyond the concept of time itself.
