To this day, Windows doesn't want you to create files with names like NUL or LPT1. Here's the list:
"CON, PRN, AUX, NUL, COM0, COM1, COM2, COM3, COM4, COM5, COM6, COM7, COM8, COM9, COM¹, COM², COM³, LPT0, LPT1, LPT2, LPT3, LPT4, LPT5, LPT6, LPT7, LPT8, LPT9, LPT¹, LPT², and LPT³"
From PowerShell or CMD, I can't create LPT1 with ">", but I can rename to LPT1. Then I can't type, rename, or delete "LPT1". It shows up in a dir listing. And I can see and rename it from the Explorer.
