There was a video about xenophobia in small, rural Japanese towns and I made a comment that, having grown up in a small, rural American town, that it isn’t just a Japanese problem.
A year later I’m still getting responses about how “it’s not a small town problem if you weren’t a big city liberal you’d know that.” The irony is not lost on me.
