@ai6yr Definitely see your manual. For example, Generac recommends a "is the oil low?" inspection every 24 hours of continuous use. Some older manuals say 50 hours, but most say 100 hours. That seems ridiculously low compared to how long we go between oil changes on cars. (Warning, napkin estimates ahead) 10,000 mi / 50 mph = 200 hours. More like 400 hours because of traffic. But even a small 1L car engine (2015 Ford Focus) outputs 123 HP=90 kW (minus conversion eff%)
