The #Hegseth hearing was so disturbing that I can't seem to shake off my anger and frankly, fear, hours after witnessing the flagrant misogyny, racism, bigotry, blind loyalty, self-righteousness, and stupidity coming out of the mouths of all those white Republican men.

In response to this post2/ The laughter--LAUGHTER--during the questioning about Hegseth's rapes, cheating on his wife/fathering a baby, his "god" swooping in to redeem him... it was beyond appalling. Apparently if you believe in his Very Special version of his Very Forgiving Almighty god, you can commit any sin or crime, and poof! you're good. Wiped as clean as a dismissed Trump prosecution. He's #Trump's soul(less) mate.
@GottaLaff @Lazarou I once watched a video of people waiting to see if they got into heaven. In it a number of people with virtually no sins were rejected. And then one came up who had sinned many times. But Jesus came out and took him personally to heaven, because at the end of their life, this person had "accepted Jesus as his savior".
I watched the whole thing and thought for sure it was a parody. But nope. That was actually a real religious video put out by a real Christian religion. I was dumbfounded.

3/ The clear-as-day ineptitude,disqualifications, misogyny, and drunken crimes that were called out by strong, brilliant Dem women like Warren, Duckworth, and Slotkin simply won't matter. It seems he has plenty of support.
Our national security is about to get the same treatment as that poor girl at the party, as will our democracy. What a fucking nightmare.
