@generika I'm a 68 years old denizen of the East Bay and make my home in downtown Berkeley, to make it easier for me to walk, bike, and BART to take care of myself.
Getting around without the car sounds awesome. I would prefer a lot less car in my life.
@generika I used to buy, customize cars, drive them as promotion until they sold, repeat, but I've always preferred motorcycles with a backup pickup truck.
When I moved here, I had to wait years to find a decent place to live, and the places I lived before charged as much for garage space as the apartment.
I ended up selling everything but my riding gear, and hoped to buy or build another bike when I finally got a place of my own with a safe garage.
