@paulknightly I have a sonicare. A) didn’t think it would be much different than a manual brush, but I definitely feel cleaner. B) I’ve had it for over a year and there’s no noticeable battery degradation. It holds a charge for >2 weeks of once-a-day brushing.

@benetherington @paulknightly Ah yes, I think we have the sonicare here too. But I see people mention the Oral-B here in the thread. I believe both have easily replaceable and relative cheap heads. I had considered switching but the disposable/refill model really annoyed me (though, plastic handles on the toothbrushes still ).
@ai6yr @paulknightly you can get generic refills for pretty cheap. I haven’t seen any replacements using renewable materials though.
My partner has an oral-B. She has to charge it much more often, but I don’t think the battery life has gone down enough to notice in the same time span, but obviously I don’t pay as close attention. She’s also once-a-day FWIW.
