Speck is on palliative care after the discovery of masses on each side of her abdomen which could be infection - but if so taking a biopsy would spread it into her cavity, or could be tumours.
Either way there's not much that can be done, she's had 2 surgeries previously and was unkind to her stitches.
So she's on "just in case" antibiotics, anti-inflammatory meds and another painkiller that is apparently reserved for palliative care. The worst parts of every day (twice) is giving her her medicine because she will not take it willingly and I feel cruel. But they do seem to be making her more comfortable.
