I am planning to eventually post in alt.rhubarb again when I release my next hobby projects. I'm not too impressed with some of the busy newsgroups because of trolls and nutters.

I follow some others and usually I don't find myself much interested in the discussions.
Modern Usenet is different than its heyday. Messages are generally much more infrequent. It seems more of a bulletin board than a discussion forum these days.

In response to this post@octade @vga256 those are groups that would be on my watch roster. recently i went with a commercial account on usenet and had to really drill down past all the binary dumps to get into discussions. you're right, it's more like a bulletin board but i feel there's merit still
Lord willing, I'll still be on Usenet for many years to come. I'm not giving up on a good thing while I have the time and patience for it.
