@ChrisMayLA6 Or perhaps the "right" side of the left. They are less about socialist ideology, and more about just living their lives the way they want to live, and using the government to do that.
I guess that is why we can be friends and have interesting discussions. They are not ideological, or not enormously so, which means that as long as they get their day care, and their governmetn subsidies, they are happy, and kind of just shrug their shoulders at the rest. They do not protest on the

Sadly out of contract with political groups of all sorts due to personal circumstances, but I do know at last a couple of pro-family leftists who are friends - I judge them by their actions.... but, the more general tendency I recognise from my (past) readings of some communal socialism (shading into community anarchism)
