@ChrisMayLA6 I've just reread The Expanse series, and there's a lot of great discussion of ideas around human nature and behaviour. At one point (after a catastrophic event) characters discuss tribe size expanding when things are going well and shrinking when not - their tribe is just 2 people as they travel through apocalyptic scenes and face constant fight or flight choices as they encounter others (also facing the same choices)
If you haven't read/watched it, it's highly recommended from me!

Oh, yes read the entire book series (finishing early last year) - great SciFi with some really interesting issues broached & then included within the weave of the storytelling - my niece has seen the whole six series of the TV series, but I've as yet not been able to convince my wife we should embark on that (she's much less of a sci-fi fan than me)
@ChrisMayLA6 Just tell her she only needs to watch the first series as it's a detective series. Then by the time she realises, it'll be too late!
