@ChrisMayLA6 I fear it will breed selfishness, but if coupledom is replaced with platonic friends the opposite might happen as the tribe expands from the typical family of 3 or 4 to much larger social circles. Tl:Dr who knows?

Indeed, that's what makes it interest; its unclear how this will develop.... and what the impact(s) may or may not be


@ChrisMayLA6 I've just reread The Expanse series, and there's a lot of great discussion of ideas around human nature and behaviour. At one point (after a catastrophic event) characters discuss tribe size expanding when things are going well and shrinking when not - their tribe is just 2 people as they travel through apocalyptic scenes and face constant fight or flight choices as they encounter others (also facing the same choices)

If you haven't read/watched it, it's highly recommended from me!
