@lupus_blackfur Vaccines DO prevent infections--just not fully or permanently. Masking is powerful, but in a world where 90% of people NEVER wear one and will not wear one, we need to be encouraging more vaccination, not discouraging people by sharing incorrect information about their effectiveness.

Vaccines do not, have never, and cannot prevent infection.
Infection is defined as microbe entering your body. No effect of vaccine can possibly prevent that.
But, once infected, the vaccine will decrease severity of illness and all commensurate and consequent effects.
Check with virologist/immunologist for verification.
And, yes, please more of both vaccination *and* masking.
@lupus_blackfur There are literally dozens of studies that measure the effectiveness of COVID vaccines against infection. Please, stop sharing misinformation or I will block you.
