If we look at ADSB Data of the airplane that got hit, the drone was likely hit around Camp Josepho around UTC 20:27. This lines up with when the instagram story was posted.

In response to this postWe can confirm geolocation of the instagram story with google earth to 34°06'13.1"N 118°29'41.3"W. This is roughly 3,000m to approximately where the drone was it (last image).
We can also confirm lack of good judgment by viewing two posts they made flying near the front of the fire at night. Here's the most concerning one, at the fire front.
