In response to this post@ai6yr @paninid I'm in my 60's and I've experienced a lifetime full of 'officials' downplaying emergencies. First it was the threat of nuclear war, now it's the climate crisis. In the meantime, we've witnessed virtually every government in the world abdicate its responsibilities regarding public health. If the covid situation hasn't shown you that you are (pretty much) entirely on your own, I don't know what else you would need to see. Given all of this, I've learned to trust my own internal alarm bells.
