@MissGayle I was highly irked there the last time I was there, when they apparently said you can no longer have someone take your order, you have to use the app or use the touchscreen. I JUST WANTED A COFFEE (went elsewhere). They don't want you to talk to their employees. They are just part of the machinery. (but, that is me.) Our school cafeteria is like that too, which I think is criminal... can't ask the nice lady for a sandwich anymore, now you have to download an app and order it and the person behind the counter is an easily replaced cog in the machine.

Steak and shake did that here, and we took one look and turned around and left. I don't use self checkout anywhere, period. I've left full carts of groceries because they closed the registers while I was shopping. I refuse to aid and abet unnecessary unemployment.
And I absolutely refuse to give free labor to billion dollar corporations.
By refusing to employ people they're shorting medicare, social security, and state / local programming too. I will not be part of that.
