@Christian_Freiherr_von_Wolff So, this is both accidental, as well as strategic. This server was supposed to be a "test" server before putting up a more generic instance, so I put it up on the free tier of Bezos Web Services. Then, I upgraded it when I discovered you need a lot more horsepower, and then it was so useful that I never started up a new instance. (that is the accidental part)
That said, strategically, I decided it was ABSOLUTELY necessary to run the server off site and distributed away from local disasters (wildfires and earthquakes). It's in an S3 region away from me. I *knew* that if a bad disaster hit that the server needed to not be in the same area as the disaster.
