My take is that Star Wars is written for a teenaged/Young Adult audience and Star Trek is more for adult science fiction fans.
But I haven’t watched anything but the Star Wars movies. None of the recent streaming series.
Recently finished Picard, Discovery, and Strange New Worlds.
