honestly, whenever I get a reply from someone on mastodon.social who isn't my mutual, my first impulse is to block them.

but that's unfair, so I read their reply too! and then, nine times out of ten, my first impulse is to block them.

but maybe that's unfair too? so sometimes I'll think about it and maybe look at their posting history. and then, nine times out of ten, my first impulse is to block them.

usually that's what I do at that point, but sometimes I don't. and when I don't, nine times out of ten, I come to regret it later.
