I like to run my Firefox(*) windows at a specific width. It happens that Mastodon in multi-column mode is too wide for me to see three columns at 90% zoom, and too narrow at 80% zoom (so I see part of the fourth column).
Today I learned that if you go to about:config and choose the toolkit.zoomManager.zoomValues item, you can add an intermediate zoom size of your choice.
I am now using a perfect zoom size of 82%. Very nice.
