@gsuberland @jacqueline That scripting feature was something else. My machine couldn't cope with MP3 decoding at the time (not sure why) so I played from CDs instead.

I wrote a DLL which I called from mIRC which checked the state of CD audio, if it changed, grabbed the track/disc info from CDDB and broadcast it like all the annoying MP3 users did.

I also almost independently invented a shitty BitTorrent in it. Absolutely bananas what you could do with it.
