I like reading other people's #introduction posts, so here goes:

Studied physics in Hamburg, Germany; PhD at UMD/GSFC; Postdoc @Caltech; now I'm a Group lead for imaging spectroscopy at JPL.

Father, nerd, cat-person.

I tinker with math and art and a lot of math-based artwork of mine is on dozens (hundreds?) of book covers, CD sleeves, Magazines.

All art is ultimately self-portrait.
So is all other human activity.
