@ErikUden I wonder why he bothers at this point. On Monday he can just pay it all off from the US treasury holdings.

It's within Executive control isn't it? Congress does approve the budget but the Executive is the one that executes it I think. SCOTUS said his reasons are off limits if it's in his control. Sort of like when I write my own paycheck or decide to distribute profits to myself, except with all your money instead of just mine.

So why bother grift? Instinct?
