After many years of public display of it, and sometimes even bragging about doing it, systematically, Greece has now been found guilty of systematic practice of "pushbacks" (which is indisputably illegal) of asylum seekers, by the European Court of Human Rights (of the Council of Europe, CoE, which is NOT the European Union, EU) which rules on matter related to the European Convention on Human Rights (which is what they refer to when they write just "the Convention"):
