I was watching ravens on this structure and for a sec imagined that beyond the No Motor Vehicles sign lay a portal, and that if you entered the checkered building you would descend an Escher-like stair that you would also be ascending up into a timeline where cars never existed, where global transportation was designed for pleasure and safety and utilized wind and sun and other cool things. In that checkered timeline everyone travels to see one another’s lands &customs & learns to love better
