Well, as you'll have seen I don't have an entirely positive view of the financial services sector, but I recognise it has a role in any economy... the problem we have at the moment is the tail is wagging the policy dog.... but I'm guessing we would differ on that.
IMO, the necessary role of investment banks & other financial services, while helping shore up the economy via services 'exports', is doing much less for the domestic economy....
