People laugh it off but Trump's Greenland obsession is absolutely brilliant in multiple ways at once. Consider the legitimization of Putin (and not just in Ukraine either), the relevance to oil, the menace to NATO, and the destabilization worldwide of any country threatened by a dominant neighbor - all in one fell swoop of media distraction and sensationalism, while feeding slobbery hunks of raw red meat to the base. He may be crazy but he's crazy like a fox.
